| KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - In the Operations and Checkout Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, the Return to Flight STS-114 crew suits up in preparation for launch aboard Space Shuttle Discovery. Seen here is Mission Specialist Andrew Thomas, who is making his fourth Space Shuttle flight. The crew is scheduled to launch on this historic mission at 3:51 p.m. EDT today from Launch Pad 39B. It is the 114th Space Shuttle flight and the 31st for Discovery. The 12-day mission is expected to end with touchdown at the Shuttle Landing Facility at 11:06 a.m. July 25. | |
